Bella Bees

Sunday Funnies.

The Weekend Edition is staged for Sunday morning: bee-yard jokes, calm keeper reminders, and the Bella Bees mantra tucked inside the punchline. Read the hive first, move with purpose, and let the bees tell us what they need.

The Weather Window Was Not a Door

The keeper saw one calm hour in the forecast and started making big plans. The bees checked the wind, watched the entrance, and voted to remind everybody that a weather window is an invitation to look first, not a license to remodel.

Bella Bees hives in the bee yard on a sunny day.
Forecast says we have one calm hour. Great. Observe for ten minutes, then earn the other fifty.

The Super Committee Has Notes

The keeper walked in thinking one honey super was the whole agenda. The bees formed a committee, reviewed the weather, checked the brood nest, and reminded everybody that Bella Bees policy is still bees first, honey second.

Bella Bees local honey jars and bee-yard product art.
Can I borrow one little super? Committee says read the hive first. Also bring snacks.

Ask the Entrance Before You Open the Roof

Every beekeeper knows the dangerous phrase: "I am just going to peek for one second." This week the front porch gets the first vote, because the bees usually posted the inspection notes before we ever touched the lid.

Bella Bees hives in the bee yard on a sunny day.
I was only going to peek for one second. Ask the entrance first. We already filed the report.
Episode 01

Days of Our Hives: The Heat Makes You Crazy

Yesterday, the yard hit full summer drama. Tempers rose, wings buzzed too loud, and one bee became, in her own words, "such a B." This morning, beside the hive, she comes back humble.

Two friendly cartoon bees in a sunny bee yard beside a hive.
Sorry I was being such a B yesterday... I forgive you, baby. I know the heat makes you crazy.
Episode 02

Hive Hunters: Flow Hive Fever

A bee couple tours three dream hives with a realtor who can smell indecision from two flower beds away. The rustic place has charm, the new box has clean lines, and the Flow-style hive has everybody pretending they know the budget.

A bee realtor showing a bee couple three different hive options in a sunny yard.
Today on Hive Hunters: three hives, one budget, zero chill. I love the post-century hive... but the new hivekeepers are into a Flow Hive.
Episode 03

Drone Night Nerves

A drone gets embarrassed in the honeycomb bedroom because he cannot get his stinger up. The joke is on the biology: drones do not have stingers at all.

Two cartoon bees in a cozy honeycomb bedroom, with one embarrassed drone bee under a leaf blanket.
I can't get my stinger up... It happens to a lot of drones. You know... because drones don't have stingers.
